Hiking Husky: Mayflower Gulch

This is a staple Colorado hike. The payoff is great and the trail isn't too challenging. Mayflower Gulch can be done in any season but my favorite is winter because I'm a snow dog after all.
The climb is steady. My humans sometime breath heavy but it isn't too difficult of a trail. My normal destination is the mining camp, but if you want a longer adventure you can continue to Boston Mine or take the offshoot trail and you can gain more elevation.
A warning if you are hiking when the weather is warmer. You are subject to post holing on this trail which is never my pack's favorite.

Snow's Tips
In winter, anticipate encountering backcountry skiers so ensure you are mindful of your surroundings and are prepared to share the trail. And although this is an on-leash area, lots of folks have their pups off-leash. If you have a dog that doesn't do well with dogs off-leash this may not be the best trail. And if you have a dog, remember to keep them leashed on this trail out of respect for all trail users.
