What to Expect

This loop takes you through a mix of rolling hills and panoramic viewpoints, giving you plenty of opportunities to soak in the scenery. While there’s minimal shade, it’s a great choice for cooler days in the spring or fall. Be sure to check trail conditions before heading out, as Rabbit Mountain is prone to mud closures.

Snow’s Take

I loved taking in all the fresh air and new smells! The views at Eagle Wind Trail were especially spectacular. Just be sure to bring water, as the lack of shade can make this one a bit warm on sunny days. Or, save this hike for a cool day and enjoy the beauty of Colorado’s foothills.
