Looking for monumental views with your best friend? Explore the iconic red rock of Monument Valley. Pups are allowed to enjoy this scenery too (with a few important rules). Although dogs aren’t allowed on the self-guided hiking trails or inside the visitor center, we can cruise the scenic 17-mile loop drive together and hop out at overlooks for photos and sniffs. Just be sure to keep pups leashed and respect Navajo Nation guidelines.

Park Overview:

  • Location: Border of AZ & UT

  • Dog Rules: Pets allowed in the park but not on trails; must stay leashed

  • Cost: $8/person entry

Cultural & Historical Notes

Remember to respect the land—this is sacred Navajo Nation territory.

Tip

There are many free-roaming dogs in the area. It is recommended to keep your pets away from the free dogs.
